The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose

Mods and admin please delete this topic if discussion of 9mm is also prohibited on this forum.
Also please share the non prohibited bores for discussions.
Thanks.

Re: Most favourite handguns.
DOM,
I typed out a reply but it seems to have disappeared into cyber space. In India, you can own any handgun on a normal license as long as it is not in a service calibre i.e. .455,.45 ACP,9mm Luger and .38 S&W.Since .32 ACP and .32 S&W Long are the easiest to get ammo for, they are the most common.
You can own any shotgun on a normal license as long as it is not in .410, has a barrel that is 20" or longer and is not a semi auto or auto.
You can own any rifle on a normal license as long as it is not in 303 or 7.62 and is not an auto or semi-auto.

7.62x63 is .30-06 which is NPB. What Winnie meant by 7.62 was most probably 7.62x51 NATO which is PB.winnie_the_pooh wrote:You are confusing 7.62 NATO with 7.62/.30 Tok.lakecity_shooter wrote:7.62 * 63mm is a non prohibited bore if i am not wrong.....

Ooops..missed the x63 bit.7.62x51 and also 7.62x39 would be in the PB category.Vineet wrote:7.62x63 is .30-06 which is NPB. What Winnie meant by 7.62 was most probably 7.62x51 NATO which is PB.
