CMT will indeed launch the Glocks in a few months. Meanwhile watch this video:
This is nice. But I am confused between.357 & .40. Can anybody help me to choose? I want to know about expected price of these pistols and their ammo, also availability of ammo. I am not a casual user. Just want to use once in a while.
Comparisons of the .357 round (originally developed by Sig Sauer) and the .40 round (originally developed by Smith and Wesson) are as follows:
1. The .357 round is a little lighter, more expensive (due to lower manufacturing sources), and produces a slightly lesser recoil
2. The .40 has a slight advantage in blunt stopping power because of a slight advantage in kinetic energy
3. The .357 had greater penetration capability through hard surfaces such as wood or thin metal. However greater penetration is not a good thing necessarily for home defense because you do not want your round to penetrate through a wooden window (for instance) and accidentally hit an innocent bystander outside
Yaayyyyyy finally Glock has come Gen4 , Gen5 omg... as promised by Cmt... but they decided everyone with or without licence shd be able to buy thats why all the gun shop and airgun dealers have FLOODED THE MARKET WITH GLOCK CO2 AIR PISTOLS ..
SO AS PROMISED THEY DELIVERED... TO ALL THE GLOCK ASPIRANTS

"But I guess GOI has to take a iron fist to protect India's cultural heritage which would be shattered if GOI encouraged firearms among its citizens. Wouldn't you agree? The correlation between opening up the fire arm market and the annihilation of the cultural fabric? It could re-define domestic "security" and power of the Police."

What sort of 'cultural heritage' and 'cultural fabric' is meant here? India has the all-time world record of being ruled by foreigners for the longest period in human history. Is that the culture we want to preserve? A culture of passivity and docility?
The politicians would like to keep the population unarmed. But every politician from pachayat member to MPs, their family members, and supporters will be well armed.
It is impossible for our army of 15 lakhs to protect a country of 135 crores, without a people's army of at least 10 crores. Occupied countries can only be liberated by armed populace. Indonesia and Vietnam are examples of this. If the army brass doesn't impress the government of this, then it has failed in its duty and indians have to be ready to suffer ignomy of 1962 again and again.

Well said. I further believe that every culture no matter how you describe only gains by influx of new ideas and people, any culture in absence of new influx will anyway die. So coming to the point if we don't bring in new companies and allow people to bear arms we will be at a huge disadvantage.
