I carry concealed daily and have found the simplest method works best for me. The inside pocket holster. No need for any special clothing to conceal the weapon and nothing in the way to slow your draw. Just make sure you have decent size pockets. I carry either a 3" S&W .357 J frame with adjustable sights, a Russian Makarov. Not tiny guns and I'm not a big guy. Works great for me.

best for concealed carry is an in the pants ,side waist holster always angle the gun is that it never points any where towards your body(this will make the gun more conspicous ,but as you said a B@#Lshot is not good) never use a small of back holster as falling on your back can cause spinal damage and paralysis.
