All new rev are drop safe, but dont take chances.

1- Buy a lanyard and put it while carrying
2 - keep one chamber empty which is on the left hand side. ( the cylinder rotated clockwise)

I am happy to answer your queries, since this is the place to learn a lot and I myself ask questions many time.
I expect gurus to correct my info if I am wrong anywhere.

Cheers...

If you are worried about the revolver going off if dropped, then you keep the chamber under the hammer, empty. That stupid safety coupled with what you follow, is going to cause a lot of grief if you ever have to use it in anger.

BTW,the safety does not prevent the hammer from moving forward. So if a sharp blow on the hammer will cause the revolver to discharge,it would happen even with the safety engaged.

hi perfectionist1
yes thats the best precaution(not keeping the chamber empty) one can take and also the Lanyard will keep the arm safe.
yar i never thought of buying a revolver i my life i am fond of Pistols but people arround me just changed my mind stating the disadvantages of Pistols.
i am a frequent Traveller and 2 time in last two years i have been shot by the ducaits on road, both the time in UP .
first time the bullet was hitted on the door of my 3days old car,and unfortunately my family was with me, by the Grace of God we were safe and i drove the car from that area.
since than i was planning to get a licence, finally i have got, so my only charm of keeping the licence is Self Defence.
abhi to bas waiting for the call letter to come, will keep you bothering with my Queries.
accha Tell em your name also yar atleast i should know the name of a frnd who is helping me,
thanks once again

Babar
