BTW, the left side of the hammer looks a little rusty, or was it some oil?
TenX I checked again and showed it to the BGH guy. We both concluded it is not rust, some sort of heat treatment or effect.

Another trip to the range this Saturday and I followed all the advice given here and by others. The shooting was so much better and accurate now. I shot all in DA mode and the accuracy was pretty good, sill not as good as my 1911 but much much better than my first range trip. Shot only KF ammo this time, close to 50 rounds and all went off well except for 2 which refused to fire.

I've realised I'm just blowing up too much money on ammo every weekend. The reason for getting a .32 was relatively cheaper Indian ammo but I've realised I'm shooting more often now and will be doing till I have this gun. I'm contemplating getting a .22 instead; Rs 11 as opposed to Rs 50 is a huge saving. The only thing holding me back is lack of stopping power of the .22 LR round, I use this gun for carry too.

I'm guessing that you don't have the means to reload your once fired shells.

By the way, I picked up my charter arms 32 and it is a real delight to shoot.

Nope Sarge, no chance for that at the moment.

I bet your CA is significantly newer and better than the one I HAD?

Glad to see that you are happy with your purchase. Charter Arms has been around in one form or another since 1965 and you are right the .32's are a bit harder to find. I was finally able to pick one up last month. I've had my 38 Charter Arms since the late '70's and while a bit worn it hasn't failed me in all that time.

I know that it's not recommended, but in a revolver as strong as the Charter Arms you can fire .32 ACP cartridges in them in a pinch. The .32 ACP is a semirimmed cartridge and the extractor has enough purchase to usually eject all the spent rounds.

Hope you enjoy your revolver for a long time to come.

Congrats Amk, now you have one for each hand. Snubbie on the left, 1911 on the right. Good bluing job but I think you can come pretty close with a cold blue too. Was recently surprised by the results from the Birchwood Casey Super Blue work done for a friend's pistol. Came out pretty cool.

Regards,

Dev
