1911 are great Bhiha ji but its single stack magazine may not be feasible to the military. They need more fire power in hand and ready. This may be one of the reasons why they opted for the Beretta. Another point to be noted is that most of the newer hand guns have a firing pin block built in them. The all new HKs VP 9 is one good example. An absolute essential for the military considering the unpredictable handling conditions of the weapon....
