The KABA looks really good!
What I got for hand guns (and maybe Ammo - home storage) is this:
Safe: VARO Large Security Electronic Safe
Model: MOTSA19EL
Exterior Dims: 350 x 360 x 520mm (L x W x H)
The price in the UK is absolutely huge, but the product is pretty good, if you can locate it for a more reasonable price.
I was fortunate enough to latch on to one in Canada, for a really fine price, never used but 'used status' - in original boxed condition for $50 - roughly Sub INR 3,000!
Better yet for what is locally available - buy a Godrej Almairah (at least that is what they were called back in my day) The smallest versions will do fine for Rifles, Pistols and Ammunition.

They do not seem to have an exclusive outlet in Bangalore yet. Got mine picked up from a dealer in S P Road. Can send you the number incase you want to talk to the dealer.

Would appreciate it if I could have the number by PM Prathat bhai. I have a few of them from Godrej and was looking at buying at-least one from this company. Products look great.
Ckkalyan Saab why didn't I think of a godraj almara to store my bigger air rifles. They are strong, not portable and the locking system of any godrej product is very reliable...

farook - well said! The image of the venerable Godrej Almairah popped into my mind when I remembered my dad carefully storing away his 'threesome' rifle, shotgun and revolver (plus ammo) in the early 70's!farook wrote: Ckkalyan Saab why didn't I think of a godraj almara to store my bigger air rifles. He did not want his adventurous kids getting at them in his absence!

An option is http://www.elguard.com/ You could try requesting them to make one to your size and specifications. I would suggest the manual safe door opening (not automatic which is D type battery dependent) with electronic key pad/lock.

Hi Friends,
As per my discussion with a Godrej Distributor... all the Electronic Godrej Safes are made in China so not very reliable...
Best Godrej safe is Matrix Mechanical... approx. Rs. 47,000/-
Rhino Mechanical approx Rs. 12,000/- (it has hidden compartment also)
Premium Coffer approx Rs. 7,000/-
Godrej Privy Floor Safe is also an option...approx 10,000/-
for more information on prices you can view this website http://www.godrejlockerschennai.com/index.php
With Regards
Suraj Singh.
