Get the pistol. BTW Nice profile pic! Is that a Glock?SS wrote:Katana, Nirbheek means unafraid. Nir- without. Bheek/bhaya- fear.
Though I do agree, the names can be better. I have an open place for a handgun so considering this. Wondering if it's worth the extra money.

I'd go along with SS that it would be prudent to wait till it hits the market and then evaluate a purchase. However, I suppose it would be the same mechanically, with only the metallurgy and finish differing. Knowing IOF, better to be prepared for some quirks.

I had a good photographer . Wondering if he'll want royalty or just photo credits will do.inplainsight wrote: BTW Nice profile pic! Is that a Glock?
Katana, Weight reduction is one of the primary reasons I want to consider this model. Hopefully will have enough patience to wait that long..There's a good chance I'll give-in to the urge of being the guinea pig myself!

BTW I would wait for more feedback on the Nirbheek my friend. Unlike the IOF guys we, the poor Indian gun enthusiasts, are not that fearless after all

If you call them a couple of more times you would for sure be getting a couple of new answers, all of which are going to be false. If you want proper info pls email them

I am familiar with the most iof products cause I have many friends from the army. From this I can only tell you don't have too much hope from them when it comes to design language. Being one of the largest arms manufactures in the world they lack not infrastructure but competition. What iof needs is Walter, Beretta, Heckler and Koch as competitors and they are capable of producing much better products.
The mark 4 and the new nirbheek revolver would be out shortly. Waiting period wont be long as firstly there are relevantly less buyers for a revolvers as compared to a pistol ( which itself has a four month wait period now ) and secondly cause in a few states in north India the granting of a civilian license has either being altogether stopped or made near impossible.
The mark 4 does have a chrome line finish and the nirbheek has a titanium body, they still have the same forward opening latch. Suggest you wait for sometime let them come out lets see how the feedback is and then buy. Have seen both the mark 3 long barrel and the mark 3 regular I would still say buy the long barrel. Its really not that much bigger and a lot more fun to shoot as it has a longer sight radius.

Re: Mark-IV ~ IOF Nirbheek titanium Revolver
So I just got a call from FGF, a polite lady asked if I had emailed a query for the gun and if I have an interest to purchase the same.
The Nirbheek's design and look are apparently exactly the same as the Mark-III. The trigger pull is also the same.
The only difference apparently is the titanium, resulting in weight of the Nirbheek being only 500gms (according to the lady on the phone).
The booking is offline and in full by DD. Forms on the FGF website.
First 15 bookings getting delivery by 31 March.
Post which, indefinite.
