Big NO for 9MM , it's a PB.if you really want any Beretta , then get Beretta 84fs in .380.

Here is a link for .380

Something tells me that the OP does not have a license and probably is not even of an age when he can get one.

friend,
berreta 9mm,is useless even if you can manage a pb licence as the catridges are rare in civilian market.
other berreta's available are 1971,1934 ,1983 models in .32,.22 and a .25 tip upbarrel (pocket pistol)
if you haven't got a licence yet go for a npb licence.

Aloha,

How about a Beretta 96, chambered in 40 Smith & Wesson?

Then again the question is availibility of 40 SW ammunition.

Many American law enforcement agencies and civilians are carrying 40 SW in many different

brands of semi auto handguns.

The 40 SW is my favorite semi auto cartridges. Especially in a Beretta.

The Wife and I each, have several variations of Beretta 96 in 40 SW.

My friend, Glock 17 and the Beretta 92 series use the 9mm Parrabellum which id a Prohobited Bore, therefore it is illegal for civilian use. If you want to fire a Glock 17 anyway join one of the para military, and if you want to fire a Beretta 92, join the Mizoram Police Commandos as they are the only unit to be issued with a Beretta 92

No it is not.As long as you have a license for a 9mm parabellum pistol, you can own one.Getting a license may be difficult,it does not make it illegal.

Prohibited bore does not mean illegal. You can get PB license and own them legally.

Any cartridge used by government forces was not normally allowed for civillians and was called "Prohibited Bore" and the rest of the cartridges were called "Non Prohibited Bore". The PB and NPB concept was the British policy of divide and rule at work. The motive behind this was that in event of mutiny like 1857 happening again, the native soldiers and civillians cannot use each others ammunition in their guns because of different cartridge sizes.

Thank you for those links goodboy_mentor. I just joined and those links gave me a good idea of what you can and cannot get in India.

according to your country law, if 9mm is PB,
then no glocks, berettas, sigs, cz's, h&ks, fn's, in 9mm calibre.
dont search pistols in 9mm, searched what is NPB in your country. (like .30)

with no prejudice and discrimination.
in pak we are able to get any 9mm, 10mm, .45, .40, .380, .30, .22

Aren't there any NPB Glocks which I can import to India?
Say,a .32" Glock or a .22 Glock ?

Please search the forum related to the topic of import of firearms. Import of firearms is on restricted list of import policy.
