Infact they do not matter at all.Ribs are mere accessories and has nothing to do with working of a pistol.They can be installed afterwards by a good gunsmith.

You don't have to worry about twist rate increasing or decreasing. You just have to check that the bore is clean and bright and there is no pitting inside.Also there is fair amount of rifling visible.

The twist rate is constant. A twist rate decreasing towards the muzzle would make no sense at all. So called progressive rifling increases the twist rate towards the muzzle. It has been used in some rifle barrels, notable the Italian military Carcano. Its benefits are debatable.
