Does our IFG site have "real" pics of the IOF 0.22 revolver. It would be great if some of the owners could post some pics.. with some references like coin/ruler etc so that we get an idea of how the revolver looks like and to some extent imagine how it might feel.
I have serached the lenght and breadth of the site but have not found any pics.
We all have seen the pics in gunaccessory.com and IOF website.
please someone post the pics......

Re: IOF .22 revolver
""recommends the usage of ELEY. it is a good firearm, ....................
This is the strangest recommendation they can make....
Asking its customers to use an ELEY cartridge...which cannot be imported legally, every one is not a member of the Rifle association.....so where does one find the necessary ammo.............dealers don"t stock it.........
Its like recommending rocket fuel for your car......we have made the car u search for the fuel yourself..........similarly we have made you the revolver ....find the ammunition yourself.....can't figure why wasn't the kirkee factory requested to make a modified 22 ammo

Thanks Happy.. you have made us all Happy..
The pics actually make you think if this is such a bad gun afterall. I think looks wise it has more "personality" than the 0.32 rev/pistol. It may not be the best but definitely looks good.
I am actually considering it.. given than its costs 35K lesser than the 0.32 rev (you can buy a 0.22 rifle with the savings) It may not have the best stopping power but deep inside none of us want to cause fatal injury to anybody, be it friend or foe..

Yes it will make a great epitaph. Man you'll end up having your pistol snatched or with a bad guy's bullet in you if you try the John Lennon thing against a gun weilding or knife weilding foe. Please don't acquire a defensive gun like a handgun unless you are mentally prepared to pull the trigger. You will just endanger your life and that of those around you.

Size does not matter.. its how you use it.. owning a 0.22 with less "stopping power" does not stop one from taking a head shot (if necessary)dev";p="43805 wrote:Yes it will make a great epitaph. Even very well trained professionals who shoot thousands of rounds every year at the range can often find it difficult to take a precise aim in the heat of engagement... I assume you consider yourself more prepared than them...diskaon";p="43853 wrote:Size does not matter.. its how you use it.. owning a 0.22 with less "stopping power" does not stop one from taking a head shot (if necessary)
Me? I'll rather not take any chances when it comes to my family/ my own safety... most of us here will only have occasion to use our guns in self defence maybe once in our lifetimes (if that) - if and when that time comes, I'd suggest you use the most effective means possible to dissipate the danger quickly and safely.
That said, we make do with what best each one of us can get, and a .22 is better than no gun at all... just don't get carried away presuming that you would be able to consistently take headshots in a real life gunfight.
Cheers!
Abhijeet
