HELP from IFG'ians residing in US

Post by ssmickey.32 » Sat Apr 03, 2010 2:21 pm

Hello,

I am looking for a special HELP from IFG'ians residing in US who can help me in procuring Tyler 'T' Grips for my 0.32 Bore, 'J' Frame - Square Butt, Smith & Wesson Model 31-1.

I need these grips but the company http://www.t-grips.com/ does not directly export to India & has further suspended it's email account on account of email rush  I have also explored all the other ways of procuring the Tyler 'T' grips but could not succeed.

I need help from some IFG'ian living in US who can place the order on my behalf of Grips [US$ 27 /grip] and courier them to me. I am ready to pay any service charge that the helping person may think fit. We the IFG'ians also understand the rules & regulations of what can be imported in India through courier route. I have spoken to few of my friends/relatives living there, who are very reluctant in sending anything related to GUNS as they do not own guns nor understand that it can be done legally.

I have bought Pachmayr grips, Uncle mike's Ankle Holster, Bore Snake and Extrema Ratio 185 RAO Folder through Courier without any problem but this Tyler 'T' Grip is posing problems.

Looking ahead for HELP.

Thanks & Regards

Thanks for ur reply Nagarifle. The company does not have any dealer/outlet. I think we are not allowed to bid on Ebay or Ebay/sellers do not ship to India...

according to the website they do ship out side usa. but you will have to call them on the phone as they do not seem to take plastic from oversea. so its worth a try.

Try calling them via phone and write a letter/fax. These are better options and they shall respond much better in person over phone and via a letter. Then you can work out the modalities typically they want to deal with overseas persons directly for obvious reasons. Refer the note from their site ..and work with them and understand that they have to follow the rules to t for export purposes.Let them know the big local market in India..stop scaring your mules as tagging this as a part of a gun coz it isnt simply an accessory to a grip be. Friends/mules be nice try again..next time pick some one from the airport and do bit more pal..mules shall respond positively.

Let me look in my box of gun parts. Think I might have just what you are looking for. Maybe even a set of J Frame Grips that are a bit oversized. Give me a day or so to rmmage around in the boxes in the basement

:) Hello SARGE402,

I am happy to learn that you have Tyler 'T' grips with you. Which color of 'T' grip(s) do u have brother? Also, which set of 'J' frame grips do u have?

I have purchased Pachmayr Rubber grippers grips with finger grooves - these are good grips but are oversized and hard to conceal... so finally I have decided to put tyler 'T' grips on the original grips and get a better grip.

Kindly PM me, so that we can discuss further.

Thank you so much for all your help.

:) @Drunknhappy, thanks for extending your helping hand too. I need something more, pls check ur mail.

All the HELP makes this place a wonderful one .

Best regards
