We had some fun

Post by grewal » Sun Feb 07, 2010 10:35 pm

Me and my brother in law Gurminder Singh Gill had some fun time at my Farm house. And I tested my virgin .32 revolver for the first time. We had some more guns and rifle also. So all you guys watch and enjoy the video I made.

Bye

Look like you had nice fun there and the music is good too.Nice guns too.Just a question. Why not shoot at targets than just shoot into air? Shooting into air can have potentially dangerous consequences especially with rifle bullets as they travel very long distances and still retain energy enough to seriously harm or worse kill.Always ensuring a backstop is there while we are shooting is a good safety practice.

Thanks for sharing.

Vikram, you stole my thoughts ! Even a .22 LR fired at a 45 degree incline will travel 1.5 kms ! At 500 mtetres its still carrying on at 500 fps - enough to seriously wound or even kill. A higher caliber rifle will travel close to 6kms !
One of the key rules we use when firing in open areas is to have one person fire at a time and all others behind the line of fire. Trust me it is good practice !

Great video gents - more thought on gun safety next time would be even better :)

The revolvers held in line with your ears can do some serious damage to ears which is irreversible. maybe your luck saved you guys this time. .

Congrats folks what were the guns do post about their make etc?
Next time keep the safety precautions recommended by members here in mind...we had a close call with a ricochet .22 LR bullet from flooded paddy field travel quite a distance and luckily stuck a utensil being washed by a lady..she rightfully freaked out complained .. It wasnt pretty when Grandfather found out about our boneheaded mistake...

take care
