Does IOF export their pistols to the U.S.
First let me tahnk you all for letting me join your forum.
Secondly, does anyone know if IOF exports either of their two revolvers or their semiautomatic pistols to the United States?
I'd definitely be interested in picking one or all three up for my collection.

Thanks, for the replies. Many years ago, I served in a country where an Erma .25 Automatic was the only pistol I could find to carry on a daily basis.
And yes, I collect a number of different weapons.

Re: Does IOF export their pistols to the U.S.
Officially India does not export any firearms, in fact considering this policy it is mighty strange how a whole bunch of old Ishapore rifles seem to have landed up in USA...
Anyhow, even if the IOFB chappies were to export their new wares I doubt they would find many takers at the sort of prices they demand (in India) - close to US$ 1,500 for both their civilian model pistol & revolver... the cost of manufacture is approx US$ 180 or thereabouts, so who knows, they may decide to sell overseas at more realistic prices...
Cheers!

Re: Does IOF export their pistols to the U.S.
Actually not that brave a person. When I got the chance I quickly picked up a .38 Charter Arms. However, the only problem the old Erma had was a firing pin that broke. Will try and post some pictures of my collection.
I do have one great advantage here in the USA and that is the quality of the ammunition, which I hear can be a problem with some of the local stuff and Imported is expensive as all get out.

They really need to do something about that first. I read once that mfg cost of a Glock (any) is around $75.mundaire wrote:cost of manufacture is approx US$ 180 or thereabouts
Regarding there being a "market" or buyers for IOF products, you'd be surprised at some of the stuff that sells at the gun shows here.

Hopefully this will work alright. the Springfield 1911, KelTec PF-9 and the Walther PPK/s are the weapons I carry while on duty (no not all at once).

Thanks. Most of these are my day to day working guns. Although the little Erma is the one that goes on field trips with me when I don't plan on having to take one or more of the bad guys or gals in.

Re: Does IOF export their pistols to the U.S.
Hello,
I know for sure the IOF 9mm pistol Mk I (I think thats what its called) a copy of the Inglis Hi Power was definitely exported (perhaps not directly) to the U.S. in 2004/2005.I had seen pictures of the IOF .32" Revolver a long time ago but have never seen one in personin the U.S. Most gun people in the U.S had never even heard of it.
I think Gander Mountain stocked the 9mm pistol for a while, may retail between $350 & $400 I am guessing.
Regards,
Anand
