My 9mm Taurus PT-92AFS-SS

Post by viras » Sun Mar 30, 2008 6:04 am

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here in the pistol section.

Since I'm in California, I thought I'd share a couple of pics and videos of my Taurus PT-92AFS-SS. Taurus is a Brazilian manufacturer that was originally a Beretta factory - Beretta had a contract with the Brazilian government to manufacture their small arms for their army, and once the contract was completed, Taurus inherited the factory, along with all the tools, plans, etc. So anyway, Taurus started to manufacture the Beretta 92FS and it eventually evolved into the Taurus PT-92. To make a long story short, the Taurus PT-92 is a Beretta 92FS, but with different features.

Without further ado, here's my baby:

And here's some videos of me firing it, along with a USP .45 Compact:

Cheers!

Good looking gun there Viras.

I especially like the frame mounted safety of the Taurus vs the slide mounted on the 92FS.

Ya - that's the main reason I bought it.

The second reason was because the Taurus is around $900 bucks new, whereas the Taurus is about $450 New. ;)
