sent photo copy of licence with my own attestation

Post by vjha55 » Mon Jan 07, 2008 9:29 am

For purchase of revolver i sent a dd of Rs 62720/- and a photocopy of armlicense with booking form duly filled to gfk kanpur. Photocopy of arm licence was supposed to be attested perhaps. Which I myself did --- as you do when you apply for moble connection etc. Is it ok ?

Hi vjah55,

As far as my knowledge goes the attestation has to be done by a first class gazetted officer certifying it as a true copy(CTC).

They'll revert and ask for relevant docs, if they want. As it is, they'll see and endorse your original license at Kanpur...

Thank you all. Booking of my revolver at GFK kanpur has been done, no problem of attestation arose. Since I sent full amount, straight collection date as 10 th march has been given. In fact normal waiting period these days is 20 to 25, but since one unit has broken done thereby making manufacturing lesser no pieces of revolvers, waiting period has icreased for the time being.
Confirmed sourses reported that price of revolver would increase by Rs 15000/- or so, also laser kind of improvement is likely from coming financial yr.
