Ruby or Snw pls suggest

I am looking for a side eject revolver. Have been able to come across 2 of them. One was Ruby .32 and the asking price was 4 lac. The second was Smith and Wesson asking price is 7 lac. Both are in fairly good condition. Obviously I don't wish to spend much but also want a good weapon. Pls suggest what should I do. Also want to know what is the difference between the 2 when the look and feel is the same. I also have a 3rd option and that's webley scott for 4.5 lac in good condition. Pls help and suggest.

Avoid Ruby revolver. Its not very popular brand and you will have hard time if you wish to resell it in future.

The prices you have quoted are minimum 50k above the market price. I am assuming that S&W is 3" barrel and Webley is B series.
Go for S&W or Webley.

I had owned a Ruby Extra .32 Revolver for several years as I got it from my uncle as a first revolver. It was the same size as a S&W I frame revolver (smaller than J frame).Unfortunately with IOF ammo it was very unreliable where in I had 2 or 3 misfires for every cylinder I shot. I tried several things to set it right and even went to the extent of putting additional shims in the cylinder mechanism because the problem seemed to be excessive head space.

I sold it several years ago and got myself a W&S Mk IV 4" Bbl. A Series. With IOF ammo it has been quite reliable, perhaps 2 misfires in about 500 rds. due to its hammer and spring weights. It is also accurate (5" to 6" groups at 25 meters on a good day) as a defensive gun and is full sized, so fits my hand better. It is built like a tank and is really over-engineered as far as the .32 S&W cartridge is concerned. If maintained well it should last you practically forever. Concealability is not an issue for me as I am 6 ft. tall and weigh about 90 kgs.

I have shot a J frame Smith & Wesson in .38Spl. in USA,it is very accurate, but does not fit my hand well (too tiny/different grips may be helpful) and with the hard primers of IOF ammo, I can't say how reliable or accurate it will be. My FIL has a 2" one that I have never shot but is really concealable. As an investment the Smith will probably be the best. The Webley has been out of production for several years(decades) and spare/replacement parts may be difficult to obtain in the long run.

I own a smith 3" most reliable and accurate. I earlier had webley, it's a good weapon but very crude doesn't give sifisticated look, similar to IOF in looks as design..... Pay more then get more... For webley you may look for IOF mk4 .., a good and cheaper option...

Ruby is not at all a good option as it's not widely accepted by gun users in India. A flop model....
