roughplayer,

You may spot a few brettas in the market, but i am sure they are quite old and have hefty price tag, something around 10L or above  . Although IOF products are not up to the mark, but they are the best when it comes to value for money (atleast in Indian context) and are available brand new :D , that is the main reason, they are recommened by most members. Given a choice between IOF and imported stuff with reasonable price, I bet, no one would even think of buying IOF product. But keeping in mind, the limited choice we have in India, products from IOF are the best bet.

cheers,
tingriman

At present, TR Residents are the only ones allowed to import NB bore pistols into India. TR's can import "one piece" for their lifetime provided they have a valid arms license in India. I am a gun collector living in the USA and planning to import my Beretta 84FS Cheetah (.380 ACP) this year. However, I can't sell or transfer this weapon.

My dad has an IOF .32 revolver. Though I don't like the looks, it serves the purpose. Cheers!

TR means transfer of residence. If you have the gun in any country for 365 days and a visa for 365 day single or multiple stays you can import the weapon into India
