That is actually made in Germany, but HK USA (importer) was base in VA, hence the manual and rollmark.

Only some of the newer polymer HKs are made in the USA, and those in NH.

I had actually not even considered barrel conversion kits. Now I am wondering if it might make sense to take 1911 in 10mm or 38 Super along with a .22 conversion. Or Glock 35 with .22 conversion - to allow both serious and practicing use...

Then perhaps have the wife transfer the FN 57.

Finally have what I am sure will be one of the firearms I will be taking to India.

Image

The upper is my new Dan Wesson 715 in .357 magnum with the 10" barrel. The barrels are changeable by the user with simple tools - I also have 2 1/2", 4", and 6" barrels.

Sights and grips are also quick change in nature. While the 10" is perhaps not practical for anything other than use at rifle range I'll be trying it in revolver class of our first bowling pin shoot this year come May. Should be fine as long as I don't miss, but with a barrel that long I can probably push the pins over if I do.

357s are great if you ever want to consider a pistol try this in 38 super which by the way is a NPB
