Ditto - it'll be cold day in hell when I pay out such an exorbitant price for a gun that sells brand new for a small fraction of even the lowest price mentioned above!

Take heart CC, even 4 years back who would have thought they'd be allowing the duty free import of airguns... they might just reopen the import of guns sometime soon and then the prices will fall right back to more realistic levels... ;)

Cheers!

If import of firearms by individuals was allowed, the rate of all handguns would come down to less than 1 lakh.If you factor in the cost of a .32 pistol + the cost of air travel + the duty(I believe it has come down to more realistic levels than what it was earlier),it would not cost more than the IOF pistol.

Many of the major arms dealers (fellow's holding 2-4 or more arms dealers licenses in the name of themselves and their family members) will be shitting in their pants from the very thought of this ever coming true

As CC said, none of the above

@mundaire . atleast nagri efforts are taking fruit now. who knows, private manufacture, foreign sector what could be next all these will reek of corruption. but we will get better and cheaper guns :)
