if you have a look at this topic you will get an idea how it is used. It is loaded from the chamber but you can also load it with a long funnel through the muzzle by keeping it on a stand. In the MLAIC matches it is allowed and many people do it.

Thanks for the clarification mate.
I was under the impression that you only charge the cylinder and not muzzle either on the gun or after removal.
