Lady officer in UP nearly killed by corrupt traffic police constables...a police chap once told me stay away from the Traffic guys - folks are posted as a punishment here so avoid dealing with them..guess he was right.

Check and identify the pistol and revolver; IOF BHP, Glock, may be a Ruger revolver but check the second pistol from left? Any guesses

Sad lot.... pot bellies and all. It must be galling for the cops not to be able to fit that ridiculous "traditional" lanyard on a Glock.

As for the rogue traffic cops. Find them and make an expedited exemplary and very severe punishment.

A Supreme Court Judge in an order had called the police in India "...a criminal organization'.This had thereafter been removed by a superior bench constituted expressly for this purpose.

The Committee that had drafted the Indian Evidence Act had declared that "...Police in India are not men of character." This when it was headed by British officers.This is the reason why confessions before a police officer was made inadmissible as evidence.

There are very senior officers in the police forces through out the country,not only in the lower ranks or the Provincial Police Services but also from the IPS who face charges ranging from murder,rape,extortion to cheating and forgery.

SHO's and in some cases even constables are posted as per the wishes of the local politicians and their seniors have little or no control over these subordinates.Infact their seniors too seek the support of these very politicians to get 'prize' postings which is another way of saying getting a post where the fellow can make money.Officers paying to get postings is not unheard of.Infact this is a cottage industry.Subordinates paying the household expenses of their seniors is quite common.

Yup Sarge, The IOF Pistol 1A is basically a piss poor piracy of the Canadian Inglis HP. I say piracy since I've never heard of the IOF actually taking up licensed manufacture of anything. Its manufactured in three IOF factories - Rifle Factory Ishapore (RFI)West Bengal , Small Arms Factory (SAF) Kanpur, and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hyderabad....each factory competing over who can make the shoddiest piece.
