57 K is a reasonable price to pay for a gun in good nick....though from the pics it looks as though the gun has been re stocked....the furniture does not look original

Definitely a restock and a new recoil pad.Certainly not a 'never used' gun.

Zorawar,

I hope you enjoy your new acquisition.

Looks tidy,Zorawar.Congratulations.Should give you good service.I wonder if it was a duck gun as both the barrels are choked full.I cannot think of any other uses in a SXS apart from probably Live Pigeon.

As others said it looks to be restocked, re-blued and finished. That is not a bad thing if done well and breaths some more life into it.

Best-
Vikram

The stock does not look like original BSA. They don't use such heavy grained wood in their stocks. Anyway the picture is too small to say anything for sure. If it's a sparingly used BSA in good condition, then 57k is very cheap. The market rate is 1 lakh and more in South India.

Purchasing guns in India is a challenging tasks its dictated by timing, availability, legal hurdles in case one has to travel to another region and take the risk of dealing with unknown folks or even get swindled. In the end whatever floats the boat is good...
