Wanted to buy a shotgun and have got permission on my license to do so. A dealer has a Shaktiman clutch action (5 shot) gun. It is similar to the one shown in picture below. After negotiating he will sell it for around Rs.45,000.
I want to know that quality wise how would you rate the Shaktiman gun. Thanks in advance.

It is an overpriced piece of crap. You will spend more time getting it repaired than shooting it.Best avoided.

45 K on a local gun is just not worth it where the manufacturers dont even guarantee their own products....in the same budget or a little more you should be able to pick up a good European sxs which will serve you for a long long time...

I tried to find out a pump action with all the dealers i knew but could not find an appropriate one.
A dealer has an IOF pump action but is asking for 1.35 lacs which I think is way too high a price for it.
An old man in Rajasthan has a Winchester pump action and is willing to sell it as he can no longer look after
it. He is asking 1.75 l for it. I would be going on monday to check it out. I will know model no. and other details only after having a look at it.I'll try and click some pics and put here.

I also saw a Walther sxs 12 ga gun with a dealer. I think the co. name says it all about the gun.
But my preference is a pump action.

Hi Vineet go for the DBBLs,either O/Us or S x S,look around if you can get a side lock one.Shaktiman for me is, S*** Man,be it their Guns or Ammo, for the kind of money you are planning to spend on the Winchester, you can easily pick up a good ejector DBBL shotgun. The following works for me " THE LESSER MOVING PARTS A GUN/RIFLE/PISTOL HAS THE LESS PROBLEM IT CREATES. Pump Guns or Lever Guns,or Semis are very fussy about ammo and using K.F Stuff is always gonna create problems. All the best
