William Ford Information

Hi,
I have seen shotguns made by William Ford but did William Ford make barrels for other makers as I have seen other guns (W.W Greener, GE Lewis, Blisset etc.) with barrels made by William Ford. Will these be replacement barrels and reduce the the value of these guns by other gun makers?
Any information will be highly appreciated...
