Gentlemen,

Which semi-auto shotgun do you think is the best there in the market. The Cosmi ( http://www.cosmi.net/ )is not in the question. Which gun do you think gives most bang for your bucks?Gun that handles well, reliable and can cycle 2.5"-3.5" cartridges equally well.Is it a Beretta 391,Benelli Montefeltro or the Baikal? Thanks in advance.

My vote goes for any of the Benellis with a two piece receiver. They cycle just about anything and don't get dirty much and are EASY to clean with so few parts. I have an SBE and absolutely love it.

Also check out the Browining and Rem 1100 too,for a better take visit SGW,you are a regular there
The Baikal is robust and val for money given that the SP 153 goes for under $ 300 in the US.
I own a SxS & am pretty happy
Cheers

Thanks for chipping in gents.

Sharief, the Benellis are highly regarded by their owners and I think they are right.

Sanjay, the best semi-auto debate is always going on SW and right now there is one raging..Oh, quite a few people never unhappy about their guns :) .Wanted to generate a bit of debate and of course let our readers know what to look for when they are out for a semi.

The Baikal semi is marketed by Remington in US.They are sold here too. I think I posted a video of a big bloke putting it through a miniature torture test. Here it goes

Me? I would like to get, when I can, a cheap, built like a tank semi with a 26" barrel to shoot from Wood Pigeons to Geese. Will it be a Baikal or a Beretta 391 (which is not cheap) I don't know.

Mehul's recommendation would be Browning A5...

Another good gun will be Remington 1100. I agree with Sharief's choice of Benelli.

Baikal are a good choice too especially after seeing that video

Navi, I don't think the A5s with the original barrel may not be suitable to shoot steel shot or the heavy shot.May need to get a suitable barrel.
