Stallion STE200 vs Dinex Over-Under Shotgun

Post by SniPeR30-06 » Fri Dec 06, 2024 8:51 pm

Hi there,

As everyone know, the Stallion STE200 and Dinex Over-Under Shotguns have been in the market for quite a few years.
The STE200 is said to be having all imported parts and it comes with a spare adjustable buttstock and interchangeable flush chokes. Whereas, as per some youtube reviews the Dinex O/U shotgun is also mentioned to be made by some Turkish manufacturer named TriStar and it uses Beretta Chokes.

In this connection, it is requested to clarify if the above shotguns are good enough for Trap/Skeet shooting as a beginner level? And which one of the above is a better choice for entry level?

Thank you.

I never said it uses Beretta Chokes , but uses same thread to fix beretta chokes as well . Yes initial few models are direct import from Turkey and they are of same specification of Tristar. Dinex O/U are definitely excellent budget shotgun to be considered , but the only challenge is they are not available in market anymore. Mr. Varun stopped making them long back and they are manufacturing Stallion instead. I have used both Dinex and Stallion STE200 extensively and many of my friends became aspiring shooter using them, So I can confidently say you can consider them for Trap/Skeet to start. If you can get a Dinex by chance in good nick, then that would be your first choice, else you can go for STE 200. STE 200 is slightly crude in compare to finish over Dinex.
Thanks and Regards,
Saptarshi

Both Dinex O/U and Stallion STE200 are assembled (not manufactured) from cheap Turkish imports with some localized parts by Bhargav Arms.Dinex is better in terms of fit and finish, but is no longer available. And the rumour about Dinex being manufactured by Tristar is just a hoax, spread by arms dealers to brag and to charge a premium.Infact Tristar doen't even manufacture any weapons. They are just an American Importer and Service provider of Turkish made Arms. They source their shotguns from different factories in Turkey and market it under the brand Tristar.Well both the guns perform as they are intended to and can be good beginner guns,if you are under budget.
