I have inherited a Belgium made 12 bore double barrel gun, which my father bought about eight decades ago from its previous owner. I am unable to make out its make, model and year of manufacturing from the markings thereon. Could someone guide me in this regard.
Thanks,
K S Dabas

Perhaps if you could post pictures of all of the markings on your shotgun, someone would be able to help. Without more information, it would be difficult to tell much about this gun. Many shotguns have been made in Belgium by many makers.

I am finding it difficult to post photo, but am indicating below the markings I could find:
182 CHOKE 181, J under a * , 1 KG 816, z*ZK/PV, ELG* in an oval below a crown, 12.70 in half a circle, (JH), MADE IN BELGIUM.
The side barrels length is 32".

Belgian indeed. PV is proof and ELG* is Liege, gun capital.

Everything there except:
12.70 is 12 gauge 70 mm chamber
182 CHOKE 181, refers to 18.2 and 18.1 mm chokes.
1 kg 816 is weight of barrel.
