Indians For Guns

Does anyone have any I.Hollis shotgun - any user views / reviews will be good.

Manufacturers to be awarded contracts for the M1853 Enfield.

These guns are good. Not of a top gunmaker grade, but excellent Birmingham gun, nice action, good balance, mostly chambered 2 1/2 inch, a great field use and rough shooting gun without having to bother about scratches and handling on shoots.

Quite a few of them are there with shooters in Bihar, UP and I was quite satisfied with the handling and balance of the gun. Must have shot about two dozen cartridges from various I Hollis guns I borrowed and used in the past.

Today even this would change hands at Rs. 60,000 to 75,000, depending on the condition of course.

They made mostly boxlock guns with 30 inch barrels, but shorter barrels and a few sidelocks might also appear in India.

Saw this at the Shivajinagar gunshop? If so, take a very close look at it again.

Nope not there. My friends dad recently picked up one so just wanted to know how the stuff was. Now that you mention one at the Svj Ngr shop ill check that out.

I have suspected that chappie of stamping different manufacturers name for a couple of years now.

eljefe - The shop in shivajinagar (opp the bus stop) on the first floor belongs to the same chap who owns a shop next to CSI hospital on Broadway. He has imported pellets but the prices are high. Infact even for gsmith he charged me almost @ 2.00 Rs per pellet for a .22 round head.

It's the same guy, he's got another shop near CSI in Shivajinagar. The one near CSI has some lathe and other machinery.
