"..........meet her, she's meeting a stranger,
greet her, she'd bustling to leave,
leave her alone as a shrew to the bone,
and the hussy comes picking your sleeve...."

thus saith kipling of fortune. and i concur!

after trudging back with heavy steps from the craziest auction i've ever been to  , passing over overpriced cheap guns, fate landed me with this underpriced jewel. thank god i live in cambridge, thank god i didn't bid at the auction, thank god for the internet, and thank you Grumpy!

the object of my affection is the beretta 682X 32" trap gun i bought this saturday. a mean, no frill, no nonsense looking piece, reminds me of h.r. giger's xenomorph....designed for one sole purpose. ("bust clays", is grumpy's quote).

the grip is quite comfortable, and it seems to fit me really well. thank god for my arms and legs, then  !

the one thing i dreaded about beretta's new line was the horrid ellipses on the sides. instead, i get a lovely, clear, stern looking black action

the reward for patience is sweet, i feel i'm swimming in syrup

Thanks guys, much appreciated. took it out shooting on saturday, a real pleasure to handle. :)

interestingly, somehow i can't get myself to address it as a she. captain Hans Langsdorff, when the german battleship Bismarck was launched, refered to it as a "he" . now, i think i know what he felt.

Well spotted CC! Full marks to you! :D it is a Heller Ouragan, 1:72, finished in the colours of the Scorpions, the 29th squadron IAF. the unfinished, sanded chassis next to it is a 1:72 Mig 19, to be finished in PAF colours (getting tired of the usual RAF/Luftwaffe/USAF stuff that the market is flooded with, so have concentrated into desi topics)

Vikram , you'll get your story soon, promise!

Hopefully this will go OT for only one post... or else its PM

Nice to see some one interested in older generation of non-NATO jets. Everyone else is doing WW2 or the fancy present day craft. It'd would be nice to cobble together a full line up of sub-continent aircraft of the 50's-60's and 70's in 1:72...including the transports and choppers.

Keep it up with the planes and of course, your shooting!
