I've heard that the Khairuddin & Sons from Jammu makes an awesome o/u. Enquire around

modern gun works makes a decent o/u with proper chokes and ventilated rib and also with single trigger.
by the way anyone can give me an idea about the cost of the khairuddin gun?

Here's a picture.

I do not own one but would love to. Sadly, there are no dealers in Hyderabad.

This picture was sent by the company upon my query.

the modern guns are rugged although heavy. i know a modern gun to have bin in rough use since the last 15 yrs. modern o/u gun is slightly heavy but not by trap standards. the barrels are also well bored.but you can contact ur local dealers too. Sorry if i sound like a modern salesman but i too have won some medals with it at district level

You won't be able to achieve anything with Indian O/U, go for Perazzi or Beretta. Its very expensive sport, you need to make bonfire of money to be renewed shot. I hope i am not too rude.

Khairuddin is any day better than modern, as the build quality is better and more than anything, its barrel weight is as good as any international brand.
I have posted a detailed review on this thread

Look we tried it all. I did purchase a Modern O/U gun with 28 inch barrel for a reasonable sum of Rs. 28,000.

I spent another Rs. 4000 on it when a gunsmith tried to adjust the trigger pressure and the top lever opening pressure..

He failed to do a decent job.

For shooting skeet and trap the trigger pressure should be 3 lb to 5 lb.

Specially skeet when on all stations you start putting pressure on the trigger before the gun is fully mounted i.e. as you go up, specially on station 4 it is most crucial.

This gun cannot deliver. The trigger is too hard for clay shooting.

Net result it is lying in some corner un utilized, maybe I will sell it off, we are not even discussing pattern and chokes here.

It has to be a Beretta, Perazzi or Browning or maybe a Blaser, Zoli, Caesar Gurenni.

Some people have shot extremely good in skeet with old O/U Winchester guns too. A young lad of 15 from Rajasthan showed some extra ordinary expertise in 2012 and is now a part of the Indian junior team and has imported a Beretta DT11.
