What are coach guns,are they similar to 20 inch barrel DBBL made in India,how much are they priced in India.Regards,James..

Indian made DB guns with 20" barrels cost about 15,000/- give or take a few thousand.

You can search using the term "cowboy action shooting" and find a bit of info.

As an aside, there is reference in the article of calling them "riding shotguns" or something similar. Personally I've never heard this term used.

Nice reading. SOme interesting trivia there.

One of the armed guards at my place in Patna does carry an Indian made ( munger perhaps ) short barrel 12 Bore shotgun with pistol grips and no stock.

Never fired it although. Wonder how it will perform on a left to right passing skeet clay.
