Probably in the region of Rs.7,500 for a working example. Could go up to Rs.10,000 if it has diopter sights.

Lever Action,

When the IOF pumps were launched a couple of yrs ago and available in the market they were around 25 to 30 K,I am talking around 98.

But now that the same are not available for civilian consumption,my guess on the current MRP would be definitely not less than the price quoted above.

Imported pumps are available off course for a much higher price if you look around.

They are still legal to own,it is just that the IOF has stopped selling them for civilian use.

The factory price for them is just a little more than 40,000/-.The ones that are on individual licenses or with dealers, sell for around 70-80,000/-

Are these IOF PUMP ACTION gun reliable , any member having this or any practical experience of using this gun , the fact remains that they are 10 years old and foreign stuff is more than 30 years old in India.
Is the design successful . James....

hi james :)

i think the IOF pump had problems with extraction of spent shells(KF ones)but should work fine with imported stuff and 12 gauge shells are not under import.

cheers :)

indian

not only IOF Pump action gun even my uncles Smith and Wesson 12 g shotty had the same problem with KF cardboard shells especially old ones.

I will only recommend semi auto or Pump shotgun if someone can afford imported ammo or travels abroad periodically to replenish shells.

There are nice reasonable sxs in India with the craze for o/u and Pump actions. But then every one to their own.

Best

i think its the rim of the KF cartridges too which cause the problems and dealers quote insane prices for 12g imported ammo.
