Ferlach Gun (Pic)
During my early years in India I never came across a gun made in Ferlach. I came across some nice British guns , quite a few cheap Belgium guns and some American guns (Stevens, Iver Johnson etc.). I think Ferlach guns were never popular in India.
Sharing some pictures of my Josef M. Ferlach 16 ga SxS.

Nice. You must live in the right place to find those beauties.
Ferlach was never a center of mass production but just a few individual gun makers. So production was never great, and they pretty much specialized in guns for the home market, and special bespoke guns. Their specialty really were the O/U combo and drillings. Not until after WWII did they really try to develop exports to any degree.

Herb,
You do have an uncanny knack of getting your hands on these beauties !
Very nice looking gun. Is it a pinless sidelock or a boxlock with side plates? Thank you for sharing.
Best-
Vikram

Hi Herb, feels good to hear from you after quite a while
You have got a real beauty here. You are right. There are very few Farlachs in India. The only one I have seen in all these years is the property of a gun dealer in Kolkata.
Congrats and thanks for sharing. Love the gun.
