I would like to know the experiences of our friends about IOF DBBL folding stock butt.Where is it available? How much does it cost ? Does it need a expert gunsmith to fit? How good or advantageous or disadvantages, is it?

A fabulous idea. Looks very bad ass. I would top it with a scope( something like a 6-24x or better still a 10-40x with a large objective like a 56 or 60) and attach a bi-pod.A laser pointer would complete the package. All the best and do post pictures.

Hi vee, what WTP/Shooter are trying to say is, that its not a very good idea, they tend to be a little descriptive at times,my question would be the same, like why do you want to fit a folding stock on a IOF 12 bore, please do tell us---------------

I have bought a Bhatti & Co 12 bore with folding butt. It is easier for me to carry in my car and also serves the purpose of full butt. The butt in extended position may not be as good as a fixed one but suited my requirements.

The gun is from Bhatti & Co but the folding stock is of Gunsmith. Gunsmith is available on web.

I had posted the pictures of my gun earlier so you can search the forum.

anything more you can email me at [email protected]

One thing I have noted on this form lately is that the members are very prompt in making a fun of other people. They might be more experienced in the fields of guns or may be possessing better guns but without understanding the requirements of other members they start making fun.

Nah. I made a lot of positive suggestions  .

A short barreled shotgun is a lot more sensible with a fixed butt stock.I have seen the contraption sold by Gunsmith and frankly they are lousy and spoil the balance and the handling of the gun.In some cases you cant even line up the gun correctly with the stock unfolded. With a fixed butt stock you have a gun that you can actually shoot versus looking cool. The same goes for the pistol grip shotguns being sold these days. And what is that vented monstrosity stuck on to some guns.A muzzle brake? A smoke dispenser cum flash hider? I think it is "bad ass" factor at play.

Now you tell us your requirement.

1.Looking cool and bad ass.

2.Actually being able to shoot the gun and being able to hit something with it.

Heaven forbid that you have to use the gun in self defence do you want to waste the precious few seconds that you have in fumbling with the folding butt stock?

BTW Indian made shotties have this unpleasant habit of going off when bumped. You do not want this to happen in a car.

folding stock does not go well with a shot gun,i feel.doesn't look good at all.moreover, indian make is very crude.check this site ''gun accessories.com''link to govt.site, you'll get all the information you want.

DEAR SIR

FOLDING STOCK FOR AN 12 BORE DBBL IS SOMETIMES GOOD BUT NOT FOR HEAVY SHOOTING AS IT GIVES QUITE A BACK ON YOUR SHOULDERS.
IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR WEAPON JUST GOOD LOOKING THEN IT IS GOOD OR ELSE THE WOODEN STOCK HAS TO OPTIONS.

VeeVeeaar although this is completely OT but I have come to know that agricultural land in and around Madurai is damn cheap. A friend of mine has bought 200 acre farm some 20km from Madurai airport for 65k per acre. And even I am tempted to do so .
