This a Beretta u/o, Brand New gun . The gun in on offer . Not even a single shot has been fired from this gun. All tags are attached. The person is asking for hefty price for it.
What do you people say about this gun, the model, the price ?
If I am not wrong the seller might also read this thread on IFG.
My brother is the potential buyer.

The model seems to be 686 silver pigeon, don't know about the variant.

Do you have any close ups of the action, particularly the underside, which is where the Beretta model number is usually inscribed? What is the barrel length and choke?

No Rp the price is not final, there is some scope of reduction. But the seller is a bit adamant and not giving much scope for bargain but still discount can be extracted. This is my perception not sellers .

grewal, I can now confirm this is a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon V. One of their middle of the range (read :cheaper, here) models.

For a 686, the price is of course outrageous. This is no competition gun.

I agree with Hamiclar. A Beretta 686 does not deserve that kind of money.Shop around you may get a used but a very nice Perazzi for much less price.

I agree with both of you without any doubt . But the Million dollar question is that , Will this gun remain unsold? I don't think so. If we do not buy it at this price someone else will and that also with a big smile on his face. How many people in India do get a chance to buy a Brand NEW Beretta U/O. The irony is that we are living in India. The Purchase might be paying much more than what the weapon is actually worth of , but so does everybody who buys a IOF Revolver/Pistol. Are they worth $2000? No not at all. But this is how it happens in india. A 25 years old Smith whose actual worth is $400 elsewhere, sells for $11000 in India. What I feel is that if the purchaser can afford then he should fulfill his dream.
Rest I know some of my fellow friends might feel a bit awkward with my view, but it is because of the hurdles that the govt of India have put in the path of gun lovers like us.We are forced to spend fortune to live our dreams

Ok we have arranged a meeting with the seller for personal inspection of the weapon to know the credentials of the weapon in question . And that weather it is worth the pain.

I am well aware of the Indian gun market in broad terms. I was under the impression your question was if it's worth the price.

If you want it and can buy it,why not?
