Indians For Guns

I think we have few members here who do own shotguns by Fabarm Spa Bresica Italy. They really make nice ones and per a resident expert Grumpy Caesar Guerini a great shotgun. I am just providing a link check their rifles also hoping some more members can chime in especially a member who has access to these shotty's

I own a "classic 12 English DT" gun, 30' barrels, Bought it to be my SXS clays gun. Unusual engineering. 4 underlugs in the action reduce SxS torque and add strength."Tribore" barrels act like very extended forcing cones to reduce recoil. So goes the theory anyway, and it is indeed a "soft-shooting" gun. Screw in chokes. Fairly light at 7 #. Took it to South Dakota for pheasants, but the wood is so nice I worried about it and switched to my Browning BSS Sporter SxS after the first day.

I llke the gun.It may be my sporting clays gun this year.

The O/U in the pic is a Fabarm of some sort. No idea what it is, shoots fine and stays under the bed.

Steve, does your gun have Triwood finish?If yes, it has a nice protective layer on top that may protect against the elements.

I am told that they make some of the most technologically advanced guns in the world. They used to make actions for Caesar Guerini.Make barrels for quite a few others. I also read that their Asper and other O/U double rifles are the most accurate in the world. I do not know how far that is true.But, I do not doubt it.

My only gripe with them is that their design cues seem to be inspired by some of Salvatore Dali's works like the Drooping Clocks. Rather 'Ray Gun' like.

I think these shotgun do not have flowing lines and the lines are very important in a quality gun and they look too...how should I say umm too art deco insipred to me or most probably they got thier inspiration from Browning Cynergy

The action,trigger,trigger guard and the stock all look very unappealing.I would rather be dead in a ditch than owning thier Nobile Grade II or III.

This is my personal opinion.

These guns arent readily available here especially in my neck of woods although they do command a great deal of respect. I dont know if they have appointed a US dealer few years ago I contacted them and they were looking for one. These guns are available with some shops one in a while.

Fact they did make caesar guns says a lot

Well, bespoke, opinions vary (though it is not normally considered good manners to criticize somone else's gun), but the Fabarm SxS Classic is normally thought to be a pretty attractive boxlock. I saw my first one at a shotgun get-together where 50 of us shoot sporting clays and show off our guns for three days. The guy had bought it because his buddy had bought one and he thought it to be a great-looking modern gun for the price. I agreed and bought one myself. A friend of mine saw mine, and he bought yet another. Cabela's was selling them at a discount as H & K was no longer the US distributor. Several reviews in the highly esteemed Shooting Sportsman magazine were highly favorable (or favourable ).

See pic noting four underlugs. They look wide here, but are in fact not. I have seen a very expensive French 28G with six underlugs. Alleged to reduce felt recoil and torque while increasing strength.

Vikram, the finish seems to be a very nice oil finish so far as I can tell.

My opinion was on Fabarms guns and not pointed to anyone in person and as I have said earlier this is my personal opinion.
If you read my first comment I used word "Most".This Classic looks like a decent gun

That gun looks very nice. The stock does look like oiled than the Triwood one.
