No. There is no restriction on magazine capacity on .12 bore shotguns in India. However, the barrels cannot be shorter than 20 inches. However, I believe that there is some kind of restriction on autoloaders.

,as the adc office says it is only given to bank people and semi and auto come under pb.............if pump action is npb is there any documentary evidence as to is only given to bank people ...

Brar,12 Bore Pump Guns are basically for security staff, as amazing the intrepretation of law goes this one is the craziest in our great nation,but still thats how it works,the ADCs office is passing the orders given it.IOF had introduced the PUMP Guns,now they are only being sold for security purpose only.Getting it endorsed as a SBBL used to work but now you could get into problems at the time of Renewals cause they do see the weapon and then they might object.Dont chance it,it not worth the headache. There is a civilian and a police version of IOF pump action shotgun . Due to some !@# reason it has been stopped. The civilian version being long about 22 inches and the police version less than 20 inches.IOF guys and rules are the most weird and so their conditions of sale. For the 30-06 they stipulate it is only for sport /target shooting and not for hunting, Way out of the ambit of any arms act and rules and schedules. I have seen many auto loaders and pump actions endorsed on SBBL licences. A pistol is also an auto loader technically and the auto loader is also the same as a pistol. It is these''"" WISE ALL LEARNED AND CORRUPT AND A FEW WISE CRACKS,"" who rattle such questions for the sake of "" SHOW OF AUTHORITY"" or for MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. So please let us all get under one forum like NAGRI and put an end to all these MISINTERPRETATIONS and ultimately re-write the ARMS ACT AND RULES. JAI HIND

Breech loading simply means loaded from the rear of the barrel, instead of the muzzle. There are "trapdoor" rifles, top break, bolt action, lever action, autoloading, pumps, "twist" action and .................. pump action does not come under sbbl..but in india if one get it endorsed as npb 12 bore will it
work ?
