Hi,
I recently had been to Bangalore to see a Indian Dbbl 12 Bore Gun made buy Sujatha. But instead saw a England make ( Cogswell & Harrison ) which is in mint condition and The seller is quoting 70 K for it. I was really impressed seeing the Gun... Is it advisable for me to pick up the weapon for 70 K?
Experts please Advice..
Thanks & Best Regards.
Nabeel.

Hi Nabeel, C & H were very reputed gun maker from England (dont know if they are still making guns or not),but as jefe said the condition of gun,ejectors-non ejectors, these are the parameter by which the pricing is done. This is India where its a sellers market and the pricing of a weapon is done on the demand of the seller = the need /purse of the buyer. If it fits your budget and feels good go for it.

Well i think the suppression of demand for quality weapons makes us lust at any good condition weapon and feel its mint condition..kinda like a sailor lusting for the first woman he sees once he hits the shores....lol.. but in all honesty a lot of weapons in this country ..thanks to ammo quotas remain relatively new and appear mint if the were well cared for

That being that this a fine gun and yes they still makes guns and have not faded into oblivion. They had a nice beesley action in their ejectors, better than a lot of English guns in the market http://www.gogswell.co.uk .You or the owner can get a certificate of origin which will further add to the value of the gun.Price you pay will depend on the sellers price ur budget and condition and the kind of gun sxs /over under (asuming it must be sxs).. hammered/ hammerless, ejector etc etc...
