It was only the engraving and gold inlay work that cost $ 90,000, not the shotgun itself. The total price would have been well over $ 150,000.
Hunt, Churchill, Torcoli, El Hadi etc are considered among the top gun engravers in the world.

Nice read, I am in process of typing an article or copying it about Purdey gunsmith who wanted to impress his German in laws bought an used Holland and Holland sxs and then refurbished it in 1939. This gun has engraving by the legendary engraver Harry Kell and this was confirmed by Ken Hunt.
