Lovely one, Herb. Either live pigeon or waterfowl. That's where I'd put it to use. Cheers.

That is a lovely looking gun,Herb. The 3" chambers suggest,to me, a fowling piece.
Got to shoot a Pape pigeon SXS gun that belongs to Grumpy. It was a cool gun to shoot.
Very good maker and a great gun in your hands. Thanks for sharing.
Best-
Vikram

Dear Herb
It is a water fowler for sure. It is in remarkably good condition for such an old piece. I also have a 3 inch chambered 12 gauge 32 inch barrels water fowler hammerless by Webley & Scott with a Greener type cross bolt. If you peep inside from breech end, then in all probability, you will find elongated forcing cones, a sure sign of a good water fowler gun. Mine is proof marked for one and half ounce shot load.Could you please check proofing of your gun and let me know.
Cheers
Regards

Beautiful and in great shape, Herb! Are you shooting it? It looks like it would be a real pleasure to do so.
