is all sbbl guns are like this?

hello my father had a sbbl and it is olderone but everytime before fireing i have to pull the hammer(or trigger) ,now i want to know all the sbbl guns are like this or not(because i am very unsatisfied because of this pulling process)

Hi,

You have what is known as a hammer gun. It has an external hammer which has to be pulled back or cocked before each shot. There are also hammerless guns which do not require to be cocked separately as this happens automatically during the process of loading the weapon.

You ought to go for a hammerless gun if you dont want to cock it each time. But guns with hammer have simple mechanisms so that you can repair them easily just in case.

Hi All, I appreciate your response and replies. To my knowledge there are no guns made as hammer-less. However HAMMER-LESS mean internal hammer.
