paradox moulds
hi Mack The Knife
now i have gotten reply from JIM ALLISON of CAST BULLET ENGINEERING
they make to type of moulds for 12 bore paradox
12G Paradox SWC with RCBS or Lee handle cost AUS $ 165 (inc S&H)
12G Paradox HP with RCBS or Lee handle cost AUS $ 295 (inc S&H)
this is very costly stuff and most likely customs will gobble it up.
and i have never reloaded anything ?
what about the powder measures, crimper, de cappers etc
from where will at that come.
all this money and time to make some thing that i will never dare to fire in my H&H, i mean i dont want to end up with the worlds only H&H Blunderbuss
rajat
p.s - mehul, can you please also shift my other post about paradox reloading from the "FIne Guns" forum to this forum, or if you see it fit setup a reloading forum.

Rajat
The choice is entirely yours.
Correctly me if I am wrong but I got the impression you were very keen to get a Paradox and having done so, you are now reluctant to use the gun to its full potential.
Just wish I had the cash to make you a serious offer for that gun.
I have never had anything confiscated by Customs but I have lost items in the post. Unfortunately, if you live in India, you just have to accept that and order again and the last time I looked at the family tree, Croceus wasn't mentioned on it.
Whatever you decide, have fun with that old girl and look after her.

hi,
i bought the h&h paradox coz it has 2 3/4 inch chambers and soild barrels, and so i can use imported 2 3/4 inch shells. most old british guns have 2 1/2 inch chamber and very thin barrels.
a few purdys and h&h shotguns with 2 3/4 chamber are floating around, in fact one such gun is in jaipur itself, however the asking price is about 3 times what i paid for mine
also zubin has told me that mirage slugs worked very well in a willam evans paradox he tried some time back, so maybe thats the practical solution for india.
anyway i have been able to buy 2 (more are not available) mirage slugs in jaipur, will try them out on sunday.
lets see what happens
