Price of IOF DBBL

Post by paddy » Sat May 15, 2010 9:26 pm

Hi All,

Today I saw one IOF made 1979 model dbbl. Very well maintained and asking price is Rs. 45000/-

Please advise if this is a good price for a 1979 model.

Regards

Paddy

IMO it should be < 30k.

I saw a couple & they were priced between 25-30k.

IMHO the asking price is on the higher side... unless he is giving you 500 free cartridges along with the gun ;)

Cheers!

Hi,

The price of Indianshotguns have gone up a bit in the last few months. But 45K is still exhorbitant. If your purpose is not resale later try any of the Indian guns. IOF guns have a better resale value. But 45K...the seller has already factored the price which the gun likely to be worth in 2025.And too old spanish or Belgium made guns simply don't buy that crap...they already have far outlived their life and most off them have been butchered many times over.So Paddy keep your eyes open and your pockets closed...you will surely find something interesting.

Dear Paddy,
The price for a 30 years old IOf appears to be very high. I have bought a BSA .12 bore DBBL 30inches SXS last year for 50K. It is also around 30 years old and in good working condition. I bought it from Sharda Gun house in Delhi. He had a very good collection of 2nd hand guns. You should take your own time to select the weapon and excercise all the options. As you are in Noida you have the option of buying from Meerut and Kanpur which provide for a wide range of weapons.

With best wishes,

Kamleshwar

My father owns a IOF DBBL. Picture shown in the Photo Album section of this forum. I agree with .32 .It should be below 30k.

Many thanks to all the Top Guns for the valuable suggestions. e

Since the purpose is not resale I have decided to buy Indian Made New Gun only.
Will start the hunting from Merrut to begin with.

Any suggestions on new ones?

Personally I am interested in regular butt, 22, 24 or 26' from Modren

Your views are highly appreciated and many thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Paddy

Hello Friends,

Went hunting in Merrut and Getting:

Modern SxS 28 inches for Rs. 35000/-
Modren SxS 22" for Rs. 30.000/-
Giri lal and Co of Munger - 28 " for 25000/-

The above guns come with one choke and one cylinder. Please advise if the prices are all right?
The Giri Lal gun is very light weight as compared to Modren.

Kindly provide your valuable comments/inputs as I have to buy a gun in few days as the time provided is coming to an end this week.

Cheers!

Paddy

Arshad bhai,
I am not trying to be rude or pointing fingers, but same guns you had listed earlier in the sale section and after which was line of request by other members for the info for the same, but there is no update on those requests.
http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8961

Similarly for the another post, where in you had post Westley Richard and members has asked for some more info on that gun, there is no update on that.

I am not a moderator, but i understand this a forum, so there has to be 2 way traffic :).
It can be used a common ground for sellers and buyers but at same time please help novices like me by sharing more info, which knowledge and gun rich people like you have in abundant.

Please dont take it as a offense.
