Unsolved Mysteries

Post by gunner007 » Sun May 30, 2010 3:12 pm

Hey guys! I am Anish Pal and here I am going to share with you something interesting(provided you guys have interest in crime stories).......
Here they are:
1.Jack The Ripper
He is one of the most famous criminals that ever existed(did he really??) and was primarily active in the suburbs of London during the 1880s. What made him famous was the heinous ways with which he carried out his murders. He would primarily target the prostitutes of London slums and first kill them and then later, he would mutilate their dead bodies. He killed one woman, sliced open her abdomen, in another murder he disfigured his victim's case and still in another case, he removed most of the organs from the victim's body.He was never captured but London police and investigation departments kept receiving disturbing letters from anonymous senders claiming to be the killer and promising more such crimes. One of the earliest letters was leaked to the media which was signed "Jack The Ripper" and this is the name by which most of us know him.One of the most disturbing letters was signed "From Hell" and what was horrific about this letter was that this letter came with a small box which contained a human kidney. The sender claimed that he "fried and ate" the other kidney which was "very delicious" and shockingly, just the day after getting the letter, police discovered yet another mutilated dead body of a woman with one of her kidneys missing.
What was never established was whether all these murders were commited by the same killer or more. Also, the real name of "JAck The Ripper" was never found out.Even, the police never did have any clear description of this psycho killer. Some said he was short and clean shaven, some said that he was well dressed while others said he was shabbily dressed. But all these were doubtful suggestions and the crime was never solved.

I am open to all types of suggestion/comments/replies. If you guys, liked this post, do tell me. I have more of this kind which i'll love to share with you. But please reply.

As of now,
Ciao............. :deadhorse:

Interesting post!from what I have read about the case, this JACK guy had to be a doctor or a student of medicine, being a medic I can say that.Cutting the human body isn't as simple as shown in the movies(especially in dimly lit Victorian era London, the nut had to have a thorough knowledge of human anatomy)!!There's another unsolved case in the Scotland Yard web site,if you can suggest the method used, they promise a huge reward!!!!!
Cheers.

Yup...what vrohan59 said is absolutely true. London police and the local CID suspected that "Jack The Ripper" should be someone who has sound knowledge of human anatomy. As a result, almost all the surgeons in the London district were questioned but it didn't help. Even the local slaughterers and butchers were also questioned. Some suspects were also arrested. But due to lack of evidence, the police had to let them go. Ad till today, this "Jack The Ripper" case remains unsolved.
