Due to the recent events, reading papers/articles by vikram/Tingriman/Mundaire and emailing the various VIPisses,
I came across the esteemed Lord Lyttons name very often. Ah well I thought, he is only haunting me on the internet on RKBA issues.
The other day I thought I would take a break from the drudgery of London and go for a visit to a grand manor house called Knebworth hall. Its a stone throw away from my place so I thought why not.
Guess who it belongs to????? yes the good ol lord wouldnt leave me alone.
Theres a decent collection of trophies (tiger rugs galore), shikar howda and a separate section called the 'Raj exhibition' with loads of exhibits from India. (India was very special to him, the guide helpfully tells me).
Well it would be, if life were a never ending picnic.
Interestingly, out of the many white hunters esp in india, lord lyttons name never features in many shikar tales as much as other aristocrats but they have the most indian trophies i have seen here.
A very grand house and worth the visit.
