yada yada yada...
anyway what are they yapping about?
Tavor- unproven
M4- already dated and found to be deficient in recent conflicts.
what tickles me is the establishment's love for the word "lethal" in all its permutations...

Inder, its's surprising that you ask such a question. Even after 62 years of freedom, what we get from OFB are dilapidated weapons, with a waiting period on delivery. If so many years are not enough for them for improvisation, god knows how much more would they require.
My only hope is that this tender gets answered, the forces get their weapons "THEY WANT" in the shortest possible time without any political tantrums and what not . Too many lives have been lost because of shortfalls in our weaponry. I hope I am not hoping for too much.

If they do some in house tuning of the SLR, get some pvt designers to work on this , and exercise QC and throw out the bed pan mechanics currently running the show, I am sure we can do it.But...I still think the 7.62 is an awesome round.why not a wildcat variant as the official Indian service round?
