A recent query to Cabelas about shipping Air Rifles etc had this query.

Me - Hi, Can you ship stuff to India.
C -We can ship most fishing items and clothing items to India.

Me -

This is what my friends and I were planning on ordering.
Air Rifles .177
Pellets .177
Scopes ,
Fishing equipment.
Please do let me know if you can ship these. The reason I am asking is because I was told by one of my friends that you do not ship to India and so had to order some stuff from Pyramidair, So Just wanted to clarify.
Also, Which Courier do you use for your shipments?

C - . Most fishing equipment can be shipped outside of the USA. But, unfortunately, we are not able to ship Air rifles, the pellets or the scopes. But, if you put the items in your cart online and go to checkout, the system will let you know what we can not ship. I am sorry for any disappointment.


ME - Any reason why you do not ship those outside USA.
Also, Which Courier do you use for your shipments?

C- We ship Ground parcel post and UPS International Air.

Unfortunately, we do not have access to the details as to why some items are restricted. Some times it is due to size, shipping cost, government restrictions or it could be that the manufacturer has restricted where we can ship his merchandise. I am sorry that I can not be more specific. The legislation to ship anything even remotely resembling a gun or gun part from the US is difficult, even to Europe.

I gave up on a NightForce scope, and kreiger barrel, after a year of documentation. Bought the NF locally (more expensive than the US) and settled for a Border and LW barrel.

I even know a couple of Armouries that are trying to get in a shipment of Kreiger barrels, and despite everything have been delayed over 8 months by US Customs.

Any other website that does not have problem shipping these type of items?

You could try some out of the UK or Europe.

Yes, armedforces.hk; they are reluctant shipping to India. There is one hell of a .177 (WG 701S) that I asked the price for; it was a major heartbreak.

Why do you want to use Cabelas for airguns related stuff? Most of the time they are relatively costlier than other sites like Pyramidair.com
