This "Nigerian Scam" has now spread to the UK as well and people are receiving emails from many more countries

it would seem that the UK is the major hub for the email scams,
i once had a chat with the British deputy Hi comm in Kolkatta who said that most Nigerians attended a Christian school and thus have that religious wording in there emails.
As can be seen from the 1st post above.
And in all cases there is request for plane tickets and some money. i have also received such mails.
out of tens of thousand emails that are sent out buy the fraudsters, they only need a hand full of people to respond and they are rich.

There are also a whole lot of lottery scams doing their rounds.
The worst part is that they have my house address, and I receive the 'CONGRATULATIONS' mails almost every week. They are mostly UK originated, and all request 15$ of processing charges to give me a 10000$ or more of reward. Why the heck dont they just debit the 15$ and send me the balance 9985$ ....
