Firstly, heartiest congratulations, especially for your PB license. However, the question is not too clear (at least for me). So far as I know, two weapons are allowed on one license. So, you should be entitled to four weapons (two under each category). Folks, please correct me if I am wrong.

I've read in news that the policy ammendment talks of permitting just 01 wpn per individual and existing holders would be given a year to dispose of the additional weapons that they possess...so my query is to firstly confirm implementation of the revised ammendment and to know disposal of individuals like me having two licences with a wpn on each

As per new amendment a normal citizen, who is not a member of NRAI or its affiliated clubs, can hold maximum of two firearms.

These two firearms can be of any combination. For example, both PB, both NPB, one PB and one NPB. Both can be on one license, both can be in two separate licenses, it doesn't matter. Only thing that matters is that total number of weapons a person can own should not exceed two.

The OP (Bish123) already owns two weapons, one on PB and the other on NPB therefore he can not get permission to possess one more weapon on any of his license.

If one is member of NRAI or its affiliated clubs then he can own third weapon as .22 rimfire rifle.

Vineet as per new notification 3rd weapon is not limited to only .22 rimfire rifle but it can be any firearm.
Check point 7 of 2019 Arms notification.

You are failing to understand the amendment. This amendment means that now, for sports they will issue license for any firearm, not just for 22 rifle.

The extra one for NRAI members, was and remains only a 22 rifle as that is per section 3 (3) which has not been amended.

2.Maroon Colour License Book for Restricted Firearms(what was earlier called Prohibited Bore/ PB). Options open for electronic/smartcard type licenses
in future.
3.Additional .22 Rifle for NRAI members remains the same. For NRAI Members, Ammunition Increased for .22 caliber firearms : 500/5000;
for Pistols/Revolver of any other caliber-300/2000, Shotgun-250/5000, any other Rifle- 200/500
4.Increase in number of firearms allowed to Junior Target Shooters and Aspiring Shooters (earlier one was allowed, now increased to two)

Become a member of NRAI. Download form from their website and apply. There is fee of Rs. 45,000 (approximately) for life time member.

Winning competition is not required. Merely being a member of nrai or its affiliated club is enough.
